  1. Once upon a time in the Northwest there was a Caribbean bus drivers’ club in Hulme Manchester UK. The PSV Club. It was owned by Don Tony who was friendly with Alan Erasmus, business man.
    Erasmus hired the club for gig nights. We renamed it The Factory because Manchester is a post-industrial metropolis.
    And as the club nights grew, Factory Records was formed from that.
